We had a fantastic turnout for the Manteca event this past Sunday. We had 42 players participate, the rain held off long enough for the last group to finish and everyone stuck around for food and beverage and had a great time. We also had 7 new members play in their first event and we welcome them to the club. We look forward to seeing you all at Mare Island. Tournament results 2010

LCGC Members, just a reminder that our tournament at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Fairfield on February 21st will now serve as the first round of our Two Man NCGA Qualifier with the second round to be played the following Sunday, February 28th at Lake Chabot GC (1st tee time 7:00am). If Chabot should be deemed unplayable on the 28th, the Paradise Valley round will determine the winners and the Chabot round will not be made up. Players are welcome to play both days without entering the NCGA portion. Please send your greens fees for Paradise Valley only ($61) to the LCGC P.O. Box 21387 Oakland 94620 no later than two weeks prior to the event. Players wishing to participate in the Two Man NCGA competition need to add an additional $10 buy-in to there greens fees ($71).

The previously scheduled Two Man NCGA Event on March 28th and April 11th has been canceled and a new tournament will take it's place.

We will now play The Four Club Tournament on April 11th only. The four club is very popular and has not been played for a while. Players are allowed only four golf clubs in there bag, including putter, to use over the 18 holes that day. Look forward to seeing you at this one.

The Manteca Tournament was well attended and we only saw moderate rain on the last few holes. Everyone had a good time with the results below.

LCGC members,
Our next tournament is the Laura McCaffery Memorial on March 14th at Lake Chabot. This is an annual 2 person team event with a unique format.
Holes 1-6 are played best ball with full handicap strokes,
Holes 7-12 are alternate shot with 1/2 combined strokes,
Holes 13-18 are a scramble with no nstrokes.
The top few teams win prize money and the winning team has their name engraved on the Laura McCaffery Memorial trophy in the hallway.
Deadline for entry is Sunday March 7th with fees due the day of the event. If you have not already signed up, please e-mail me before Sunday.
